- kelldon - I'm sorry, it seems you don't know what the first amendment means. Sounds like you need to go back to high school to learn the basics and that freedom of speech does not mean freedom from critique, criticism, or consequences for your words/actions from private citizens.

- Sometimes family help each other out and it is generally safe and even good for a 12 year old to babysit occasionally if there are adults around to assist if needed. The real problem is the unsafe environment.

- It depends on the action of the method. I admit I'm ignorant of the hydrogen peroxide method but if it works by disrupting the cell membrane of the bacteria like alcohol based disinfectants it's not something that can be easily evaded by germs.

- The last non-avian dinosaur lived about 65 million years ago - there simply isn't any intact DNA left to clone any kind. Jack Horner is actually trying to make avian dinosaurs (he wants to use a chicken) more like their non-avian ancestors with genetic engineering.

- We had always known this whale species existed but had not known much about them until recently. A new study has indicated that they belong to a different lineage than the rest of modern whales that was thought to be extinct.

- A 15 year old girl just died recently going the speed limit in a 35 mph zone on her motorbike because she didn't wear a helmet (no one does in my area for some reason).
- newsvine bringing politics into an unrelated topic again...sigh
- These helmets are probably not harmful but they're kinda silly. Unless there is some kind of risk of death or long-term consequences from bumping your head a few times as a toddler, they really seem unnecessary and may delay learning risk assessment in kids.
